The word Monochromatic is formed by joining two words: “Mono” meaning single and “chromatic” meaning color. So monochromatic outfit means wearing different pieces of single color. This can also mean to dress up in a single color or different shades and tints of the same hue from head to toe. Wearing a monochromatic outfit is a very tricky job because if you are not careful you might end up making a fool out of yourself. To wear a monochrome outfit and to be able to rock that outfit not once but several times is an art. An art that Bollywood Diva Kareena Kapoor Khan has seem to master.
We all can agree when I say that Kareena Kapoor Khan is the style queen of Bollywood who has ruled various runway, red carpets, airport looks, events and street styles in every way possible. It is hard to carry a Monochromatic Outfit with that poise and confidence and well she has never disappointed us when ever she has stepped out in public eye.
Opting for a monochromatic outfit is a bold decision and one that can easily become a blunder but Kareena Kapoor Khan and her stylist Tanya Ghavri have effortlessly pulled off this look not once but several times.
Here are few of my favorite Monochromatic looks of KKK-
LOOK 1: Kareena Kapoor Khan wearing an all-black one-sleeved pantsuit by Nikhil Thampi with a plunging neckline and paired it up with black pointed pumps from Resee. This look was completed with minimal makeup, tied-up bun and no jewellery; Styled by Tanya Ghavri.
LOOK 2: Kareena looked fabulous in a red bustier and pleated skirt by Label Amur and teamed this outfit with wavy curls, minimal makeup, beautiful jewellery by Farah Khan and Jet Jems and Prada heels; Styled by Tanya Ghavri.
LOOK 3: Kareena looked royalty in boat-neck and full-sleeved emerald green dress by Tadashi Shoji with front cut-out and a short train. This look was completed by bold eyes, nude makeup, a sleek bun and Aquazzura heels; Styled by Tanya Ghavri.
LOOK 4: Kareena looked radiant in sunshine yellow off-shoulder gown by Stephane Rolland Couture with thigh high slit. Her complete look included rose gold wrist cuffs by OutHouse, gold metal belt by Stephane Rolland, silver heels by Giuseppe Zanotti, nude makeup and a sleek back braided ponytail; Styled by Tanya Ghavri.
LOOK 5: For this look Kareena wore a dual pink toned gown by Prabal Gurung with thigh high slit and waist cut-outs. She completed her look with a messy bun, bold eye, pink lips and a pair of diamond studs; Styled by Tanya Ghavri.
LOOK 6: Kareena looked like a dream in this pastel blue custom Manish Malhotra Lehenga with dupatta wrapped around the shoulders. She teamed the look with blue and ivory choker by Anjali Bhimrajka Fine Jewels, kada by Raniwala, a loose ponytail, kohl-lined eyes and nude makeup; Styled by Tanya Ghavri.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has never let us down with her sartorial choices and these looks are a testimonial of that. She has given us some major summer goals by rocking these incredible and vibrant shades for her monochromatic outfit choices. Whether it is a pantsuit, skirt, gown or lehenga, she has taught us how to dress mono-chromatically in different styles and occasions.
Well, this was my list of some of the looks that I absolutely love. I hope you liked it!
